Born in the city of Cali in Colombia. My formative years were spent in the UK, Spain and France. My passion for art was fostered at an early age, ensuring I always had a medium for creative experimentation. It was during a summer in Florence at the age of 16 years old when I first discovered oil panting and pastels.

In 2005, I relocated to USA and studied Fine Arts at Penn State University. It was here that I developed a firm foundation in fine art and art history. While I was able to experiment with sculpture, printmaking, photography and mixed media, my passion always remained with painting and drawing.

Following this I have lived in New York, London, Paris and Barcelona, where I have been able to explore the wide variety of museums and galleries these cities have to offer.

I currently live in Tuixent, a beautiful village in the Catalan Pyrenees, where I work as a Yoga teacher and continue painting. I am a member of the Association "Artesans de la Vall de la Vansa i Tuixent"

Sobre mí

Nací en la ciudad de Cali en Colombia. Los años formativos los he realizado entre Inglaterra, España y Francia. Mi pasión por el arte se fomentó a una temprana edad, y desde entonces he utilizado diversos medios para desarrollar mi experiencia creativa. Fue durante un verano en Florencia a la edad de 16 años, cuando descubrí por primera vez la pintura al óleo y los pasteles, donde a través de dibujos de Michelangelo y Leonardo Da Vinci, y la pintura en vivo, fui capaz de incrementar aún más mi pasión por las Bellas Artes.

Después de terminar los estudios en Francia, decidí trasladarme a Estados Unidos y estudié en la Universidad de Penn State. Allí desarrollé una sólida base en el arte y la historia del arte. Pude experimentar con escultura, grabado, fotografía y medios mixtos, aunque mi pasión siempre se mantuvo con la pintura y el dibujo.

He vivido en Nueva York, Londres, París y Barcelona, donde he podido explorar la gran variedad de museos y galerías de arte que estas ciudades pueden ofrecer.

Hace 7 años que resido en Tuixent, donde imparto clases de yoga y continúo pintando. Soy miembro de la Associación "Artesans de la Vall de la Vansa i Tuixent"

Artist's Statement

As a Colombian who has lived most of her life in Europe, I am fortunate enough to be able to draw on a variety of cultural traditions in terms of artistic expression.

I am a realist painter, working primarily from photographic references. For a few years now I have focused on painting animals. I recently started a series focused on birds of prey that are found in the Catalan Pyrenees. In Tuixent I can often observe their graceful and elegant flight. I was also intrigued by the challenge of painting the feathers and the meticulous attention they require.

Declaración del Artista

Como colombiana que ha vivido la mayor parte de su vida en Europa, tengo la suerte de poder recurrir a gran variedad de tradiciones culturales en términos de expresión artística.

Soy una artista realista, trabajo principalmente con referencias fotográficas.

Desde hace unos años me he enfocado en pintar animales. Recientemente empecé una serie centrada en las aves rapaces que podemos encontrar en el Pirineo Catalán. En Tuixent a menudo puedo observar su grácil y elegante vuelo. También me intrigó el desafío de pintar las plumas y la meticulosa atención que estas requieren.
