VALENTINA ABADIA

Fine Artist

About the Artist

Valentina was born in Cali, Colombia, and spent her formative years between the UK, Spain, and France. Surrounded by diverse cultures from an early age, her interest in art developed naturally. At sixteen, during a summer course in Florence, she discovered oil painting – a turning point that would shape her artistic path.

In 2005, Valentina moved to the United States to study Fine Arts at Penn State University, where she built a strong foundation in both studio practice and art history.

After completing her studies, Valentina lived and worked in New York, London, Paris, and Barcelona, immersing herself in the museums and galleries of each city and continuing to refine her artistic voice.

Valentina currently lives in Tuixent, a village in the Catalan Pyrenees, where the surrounding landscape and the quiet rhythm of mountain life are a constant source of inspiration for her work.

In 2025, she was interviewed by Spanish Television (TVE) for the program «Beatus Ille», where she was featured painting and discussing her artistic practice. Her artworks are held in private collections around the world. She works primarily with oil paint and watercolour, and has also experimented with sculpture using natural materials.
